You'll design robust APIs for data platform management, architect scalable storage and compute solutions, and create automation systems that ensure platform resilience while empowering Autodesk teams to deliver impactful customer features.Reporting to our Software Developer Manager for Platform Infrastructure, you'll tackle complex distributed systems challenges, optimize data workflows at scale, and build the foundational services that drive innovation across our product ecosystem. If you're passionate about creating high-performance data infrastructure that directly enables customer value, we want to meet youResponsibilitiesDesign and build scalable APIs for data platform management, enabling self-service capabilities for storage and compute resourcesArchitect and scale data infrastructure processing billions of records daily across batch and real-time pipelinesDevelop automation systems that ensure platform resilience and minimize operational overheadCreate tools and APIs that empower Autodesk teams to rapidly build and deploy customer-facing featuresImplement comprehensive security frameworks across data, application, infrastructure, and network layersDrive observability initiatives to monitor system health and optimize performance at scaleCollaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutionsEstablish and evangelize best practices for infrastructure deployment, automation, and accessibilityMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience5+ years building large-scale cloud infrastructure in production environmentsStrong programming skills in Java or Python with deep understanding of software engineering principlesProven experience building microservices architectures and designing RESTful APIsHands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipeline developmentIntermediate knowledge of AWS services with demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologiesStrong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsAdvanced knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EMR, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.)Exposure to big data technologies such as Spark, Hive, Airflow, Presto, Kafka, or similar distributed processing frameworksExperience with enterprise observability tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk)Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to technical decision-makingExperience working in cross-functional teams with data engineers, data scientists, and product managersLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk Amazing things are created every day with our software – from the greenest buildings and cleanest cars to the smartest factories and biggest hit movies.
