Intermediate Automation Developer

If so, this would be a great opportunity for youOur client is looking for an Intermediate Automation Developer for a 12 month contract in Toronto.This is a hybrid role.Advantages• Earn a competitive rate within the industry.• Location: From October 20, 2025, the candidate is required to work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day from homeFrom January 5, 2026, the candidate is required to work onsite 5 days a week fully.• Potential for extension.Responsibilities• Identifies opportunities for automation within software processes• Designs and executes QA tests using scripts that automatically test functionality.• Designs and writes test automation scripts• Utilizes test automation frameworks• Investigates problems in software as a result of testing• Works with QA analysts and software developers to find solutions.QualificationsMust Have:• Solid experience with triaging defects, participating and leading triage meetings, and producing defect summary reports• Hands on experience with various defect tracking tools such as HP ALM, DevOps• Experience creating test cases and test scenarios in HP ALM or DevOps.General Skills:Experience identifying opportunities for automation within software processes.Experience designing and executing QA tests using scripts that automatically test functionalityExperience running tests for databases, systems, networks, applications, hardware and softwareExperience identifying and documenting bugs and quality issues in development, service or business processes.Experience installing applications and databases relevant to automationExperience collaborating with stakeholders to understand how automation can improve workflow and creating documentationExperience gathering and documenting requirements from end-users to develop the best automation solutionsA team player with a track record for meeting deadlines, managing competing priorities and client relationship management experienceSummaryIf you are interested in the Intermediate Automation Developer role in Toronto, please apply online at www.randstad.ca.
