Senior Procurement Associate

What you’ll do: Maintain HABS inventory including, regular, promotional, seasonal, and special buys required to maintain the budgeted inventory and service levels.Revise and administer buying, shipping, and receiving procedures to increase the efficiencies of inventory management. Collaborate with Category Managers.Provide procurement department with various reports to be used for analytical purposes.Update and maintain Manugistics buying system including, forecasting, lead times, profiles, buying, and CPFS.Coordinate all aspects pertaining to import and manual buys.Follow up on outstanding orders and communicate with internal and external stakeholders as needed to resolve issues (ex. warehouse, suppliers, retails).Handle wire transfers and letter of credit authorizations.Clear mismatches in Buyers Workbench to claim for pricing discrepancies and ensure timely payment of invoices.Provide back up to HABS Associates as required, including assisting with trade shows.Other duties as assigned.Who you’ll work with:The Team: You will work closely with other Senior Procurement Associates and report into the Purchasing Supervisor. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration and customer service.The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions in our consumer products business unit and collaborate across the organization with teams such as category management and supply chain.The Customers: You will demonstrate customer focus while supporting our local Co-op home centres.Why it matters:Our team helps to build Western Canadian communities by providing leadership to Co-op Home Centres that benefits local consumers and contractors.Who you are:You are looking for a career in Supply Chain and:Level 8: Have a university degree in Commerce or Business and one year of experience in the retail wholesale industry or have a two-year diploma in retailing or business administration from a recognized post-secondary institute and two years of experience in the retail wholesale hardware industry.Level 9: Successful completion of the 8 course modules and workshops for Leadership and Professionalism. Completion of International Business and Multi-Cultural Skills modules of the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) program.
