Duties and Responsibilities: Main responsibility will be to assist the Building Department with administrative duties: Booking Building Inspections Input data for processing building permits Filing Directing telephone calls to appropriate staff Responds to staff and public inquiries Other related duties associated with Building & Zoning Issue and track water exemption permits for the Engineering Department Replace vacationing clerical staff Qualifications: Minimum grade 12 and must be enrolled in a post-secondary school Proficient computer knowledge and skills Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines Excellent oral and written communication skills Working Conditions: Usual Public Office Conditions; subject to frequent telephone and staff interruptions Regular office hours, 35 hours per week Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm The City of Woodstock is committed to diversity and inclusivity in employment and welcomes applications from qualified individuals of diverse backgrounds.
