/Job Description/gPOSITION SUMMARYUnder the direction of the Front of House Management Team, Server Assistants provide support to Servers by inspecting all tables for the proper mise en place, cleanliness and completeness. They practice a high level of floor awareness and have exceptional knowledge of all food and beverage items. Server Assistants help with food running as well as monitor food quality to ensure O&B presentation standards.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAnswer questions about food, beverages, wine and other restaurant functions and services when necessaryCommunicate with Servers and Hosts to maximize seatingInspect all tables for proper mise en place, cleanliness and completenessPractice a high level of floor awareness and clear/clean as requiredMonitor food quality and presentation standardsMonitor the cleanliness of section and ensure all materials and areas are clean and free from clutterBe thoroughly familiar with the causes of food contamination and the methods of preventionFollow all food safety standards and systemsEmpty garbage, change linen bags and dispose of garbage and recyclingCommunicate to all Servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experienceOther duties as assigned or requiredQualificationsA Degree/ Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent considered an assetServing experience in a similar environmentSmart Serve Certification a requirementHigh attention to detailAbility to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environmentOrganizational skillsAbility to take direction and prioritizeStrong oral communication skillsHigh level of product knowledgeAbility to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum
