In this position, you will provide timely and cost-effective pest detection, elimination and prevention solutions to an established route of commercial customers. You’ll drive sales and attain budget goals by leveraging prospecting, cold calling, and networking skills and provide brand protection to your around-the-clock customers including commercial businesses such as restaurants, hotels, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, retail stores, and food and beverage processing plants.What’s in it For You:Enjoy a paid training program allowing you to learn from successful professionalsReceive a company service vehicle for business useFlexible, independent work environment where you will manage a monthly scheduleAccess to best in class resources, tools, and technologyGrow your income as you drive growthThrive in a company that values a culture of safety to include top-notch safety training and personal protection equipmentWhat You Will Do:Establish effective working relationships with a variety of customers and partner with them on best practices to identify and solve pest problems.Keep abreast of Ecolab’s product/service offerings and industry conditions, to enhance service and sales of pest prevention/elimination solutions.Use handheld computerized equipment to manage service and document structural, sanitation and pest issues.Maintain flexibility to adjust your day to assist customers in a round-the-clock in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.Build a sales pipeline by cold-calling and prospecting to secure new accounts and generate new sales within a specific geographic area as you build Ecolab’s brand in your marketDiscover sales opportunities, implement sales strategies set, while also contribute with own insight on enhancing strategies and plans.Position Details:Candidate must reside in: Lower Mainland, Squamish, Whistler, North Vancouver or West Vancouver BC or within 45 minutes of position territory Route territory will include: Lower Mainland BC including Squamish, Whistler, North Vancouver and surrounding area Weekend Coverage: Every 10-12 weeks Contract: This is a 6 - month contractMinimum Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent.Two years work experience preferred.Valid Driver's License with an acceptable motor vehicle record, and drive and maintain a company vehicle and equipment in clean and proper operating conditionMust be able to work an overnight shiftWillingness to be on-call during off work hours and weekends as necessaryImmigration sponsorship not available for this rolePhysical Demands: Must have the ability to Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 50 pounds (25 kilograms) chest high.Must be able to access and be comfortable with working in a variety of conditions to include confined spaces damp and/or dusty locations, freezing conditions and hot conditions.Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, use hands to finger, balancing, walking, standing, talk and hear.Must be capable of wearing a respiratorPossess or able to obtain required pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to country or provincial lawPreferred Qualifications:Previous customer service experienceAbility to sell value-added products to existing customersPrevious pest elimination industry or route experience preferredSales experience preferredCompensation Package:Competitive hourly rate with possibility for overtimeCompany service vehicle with coverage on gas, maintenance and insuranceCell phoneFull training program with one-on-one coachingEmployee Assistant ProgramOpportunity for growth and advancement#li-caAnnual or Hourly Compensation Range:$24.04 - $26.44/ Hour. This position pays an hourly rate and is eligible for overtimeAnnual or Hourly Compensation Range is based on full-time 40 hours per week.
