A client of ours, a leading team specializing in Geomatics, Drones, Construction, and Materials Testing equipment, is seeking an experienced Electronic Service Technician. This position is critical for servicing, troubleshooting, and calibrating high-tech materials testing equipment, offering a challenging mix of lab work and customer interaction.Pay rate: $28+ per hour Shift: Flexible 4-day work week opportunity; 9-hour day shifts (e.g., 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)AdvantagesExcellent wage starting at $28+ per hour.Opportunity for a flexible 4-day work week schedule.Gain experience with industry-leading materials testing and locating equipment.Opportunity for professional development, including internal and factory training.ResponsibilitiesService, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate specialized Materials Testing Equipment, with a primary focus on Moisture and Density Gauges.Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical equipment using strong diagnostic skills and working through service manuals and schematics.Accurately quote repairs, lead times, and terms to customers and ensure timely follow-ups.Communicate electronically and via phone with customers and manufacturers for remote troubleshooting and support.Perform all duties safely and in alignment with health and safety regulations.Support the Rental department and assist other offices during peak periods as directed.Work with business programs and related systems to accurately capture customer information and service activity.QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of industry-related experience (2 years ideal) is required in servicing electro-mechanical devices.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English for customer and team interaction.Strong troubleshooting skills; knowledge of electronic board function, and ability to read schematics.Proficiency in soldering and advanced disassembly/assembly skills using power and hand tools.Ability to operate an oscilloscope and power tools.Ability to lift up to 86 lbs.Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology or similar designation is an asset.Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based applications; experience with customer service software is an asset.SummaryThe preferred and required method for application is online.
