Night Auditor

Join our team at Chateau Nova Yellowknife as a Night Auditor, where you’ll combine guest service excellence with behind-the-scenes accuracy to keep our hotel running smoothly. Primary Functions The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of hospitality are always demonstrated when assisting guests within the hotel.  This position will audit, balance and report on the various areas of the hotel to provide accurate, timely information and to ensure company and Hotel policies and procedures are followed and to prevent fraud.  This position is full time including weekends and holidays and the hours are 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM (overnight). ✨ What You’ll Do Welcome and assist guests with check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and inquiries—always delivering friendly, professional service. Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly, ensuring every stay ends on a positive note. Balance, verify, and audit hotel accounts, including room charges, food & beverage postings, deposits, and adjustments. Prepare and distribute end-of-day reports, ensuring accuracy across all departments. Support front desk operations, including wake-up calls, PBX, bell service, and guest messaging. Keep the front desk organized, clean, and ready for the next shift. Maintain security and follow hotel standards for hygiene, grooming, and safety. Other projects/duties as assigned. 🌟 Education. Experience & Salary High school diploma required; hospitality training or coursework is an asset. 1–2 years of hospitality experience preferred, with knowledge of POS systems or switchboard operations considered a plus. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently overnight while staying guest focused. A positive, professional attitude with a passion for creating great guest experiences. Must be able to legally work in Canada. Starting at $19 per hour Work Environment:The work environment is an office setting, which has the following conditions: low noise environment; high traffic area for internally and external guests, exposure to office equipment such as photocopier, fax and telephone, potential exposure to theft and/or belligerent guests.
