Talent Acquisition SpecialistAs a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will lead the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a seamless hiring experience that attracts and retains top security talent in guards and technicians. You’ll work closely with hiring managers to understand manpower needs, cultivate strong talent pipelines, and contribute to Guardteck's brand as an employer of choice. This role is pivotal to achieving our growth objectives and promoting a culture that values continuous improvement.Talent Acquisition Specialist (Recruiter) Role Details:·      Location: In Victoria and ability to travel within the Island and B.C·      Roles to Recruit for: Senior Security Guards, Senior Security Installation Technicians, and Senior Security Service Technicians·      Status: Full Time·      Salary: $75,000Recruitment and Onboarding:High volume recruiting for over thirty guards in a month in challenging geographies and regions in Vancouver Island. Highly technical recruiting for skilled senior installation and service technicians in Vancouver Island who have the flexibility to travel within British Columbia.Collaborate with hiring managers to craft a clear, engaging hiring and onboarding experience that aligns with company standards and culture.Drive the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and presenting top candidates to hiring managers.Manage job postings across various channels, including tracking and optimizing sponsored job posts to ensure cost efficiency.Utilize the ATS Workwave and Dayforce to maintain a consistent talent pipeline, monitor key recruitment metrics, and ensure timely, data-driven decisions.Ensure all hiring practices adhere to ethical and legal standards.Prepare and administer onboarding materials for new hires, ensuring all necessary documents are completed accurately and promptly.Lead in implementing creative talent attraction methods that strengthen Guardteck's recruitment brand.Organize and attend career fairs as a brand ambassador to build and nurture a network of high-quality talent.Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to identify and engage passive candidates across multiple channels.Conduct deep market research to understand talent availability, competitive landscape, and emerging skill trends in the security industryUse Boolean searches, advanced filters, and AI sourcing tools to uncover hard to find talent.Metrics and Data Analysis:Monitor and report key performance indicators in recruitment, such as time-to-fill, turnover rates, and cost-per-hire, providing insights to enhance recruitment efficiency.Analyze hiring source effectiveness and early retention data to continuously refine recruitment strategies.Additional Responsibilities:Support ad hoc HR and recruitment-related projects as required.Collaborate on initiatives aimed at enhancing the recruitment process and candidate experience.Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:Has five years or more of experience in the security industry working as a security guard or an administrative security role.Has at least six months of experience hiring for highly technical installation technician roles.Has a solid knowledge of the technical skills required to assess Grade A to D security guards.Has a solid knowledge of the technical skills required to assess Junior to Senior Technicians.Has a solid knowledge of ICT Access Control Panels and Alarm Systems to be able access technician’s level of skills with Access control panels and alarm systems.Has the ability to travel independently within British Columbia to support with in person recruitment and onboarding.Proficiency in Work wave, WinTeam, and Dayforce ATS, HR systems, and recruitment data analysis.Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel for data reporting and have expert skills up to V-Look up abilities and creation of graphs.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.Knowledge of applicable employment standards and HR best practices.Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
