The Juravinski Site provides care to a diverse population with a focus on elder friendly care and regional oncologyPosition SummaryAs a member of the health care team, this role supports patient care through equipment and supply management, maintenance of a clean, safe environment and participation in selected patient care activities. The HCA provides unit support to patients, families and those providing service and/or care. Functions according to the job description for Technical Health Care Aides and Clinical Health Care AidesSchedule Work Hoursdays, weekends, holidaysThis position is temporary until June 2026. Qualifications1. Successful completion of a CSAO course will be given preference.2. Current BCLS3. Experience maintaining and stocking materials and supplies including quotas and purchasing.4. Recent Emergency Department experience as a HCA-Technical (within 2 years) Required5. Computer familiarity or willingness to learn computer skills as required6. Understanding and knowledge to apply WHMIS and Legislative requirements7. Demonstrated effective communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, collaboration and teamwork skills8. Demonstrated initiative and judgment appropriate for the position9. Ability to accept assigned or delegated functions, set priorities and organize work accordingly10. Physical capabilities including but not limited to the ability to lift, push, pull and bend as needed using appropriate body mechanics.11.
