This diverse team of professionals specializes in multiple service offerings including full-service field scouting, variable fertility & seed mapping, crop intelligence moisture probes and more. As a Senior Agronomist you will have the opportunity to spend your time in the field learning applied Precision Agronomy.  MNP is proudly Canadian. Entrepreneurial to our core, our talented team members transcend obstacles into opportunities and are successfully transforming mid-market business practices.  Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities Conduct field scouting visits regarding plant stand/establishment, herbicide timing/efficacy, insect and disease management checks. Be knowledgeable of current agronomic practices and government agricultural programs. Actively maintain up to date knowledge of current industry best practices and trends and communicates relevant information to growers and clients. Perform soil tests and plant tissue tests as needed, including analysis to perform recommendations. Carry out functions regarding the SWAT MAP process, including mapping, soil sampling, ground truthing plant stand & crop assessments. Conduct analysis through the winter months regarding fertility & seed recommendations, soil moisture data, yield data, etc. Investigate and evaluate potential opportunities to provide further value to our customers. Willingness to work in an outdoor setting, along with overtime as needed during peak season. Ability to work out of a home office when not performing in-field functions. Provides coaching and mentorship Agronomists and Agronomy Interns as required. Demonstrates exceptional relationship building ability with clients, dealers and the consulting team. Believes in the purpose of agriculture and has a passion for our industry. Strong demonstrated communication skills with our clients, team, and industry stakeholders. Innovative thinker that solves problems with insight and intuition. Ability to work independently but also believes in collaboration and team synergy. Skills and Experience A post-secondary degree or diploma in Agriculture or related field. A minimum 5 years of agronomy field experience. Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. Thorough knowledge of agricultural software programs and applications. Applicants must be registered or become registered with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists as defined by The Agrologists Act. Strong communication skills are needed not only with our customers, but within our team to further our knowledge and expertise.
