Salary: $32.50 hourly/ 30 to 40 hours per week Terms of employment: - Permanent employment - Full-time - Early morning Availability: Starts as soon as possible Benefits: - Group insurance benefits - Dental plan, Vision care benefits, Health care plan, Health care benefits - Other benefits: Boot allowance $300/year after 3-months of employment - Financial benefits: Piece work (based on weight, mileage and quantity per delivery) Languages: - English Education: - No degree, certificate or diploma Experience: - Experience an asset Work site environment: - At heights Responsibilities Tasks: - Load and unload goods. - Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. - Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. - Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. - Receive and relay information to central dispatch. - Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. - Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Credentials Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses - Class 3/3F/DF License (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles) - Air Brake (A) Endorsement Experience and Specialization - Documentation knowledge - Accident or incident reports - Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) - Trip reports Type of trucking and equipment: - Flatbed Transportation/travel experience: - Short-haul Additional information Security and Safety: - Driving record check (abstract) - Drug test - Physical fitness assessment Transportation/travel information: - Valid driver's license Work conditions and physical capabilities: - Handling heavy loads - Large workload - Physically demanding - Repetitive tasks - Bending, crunching, kneeling Weight handling: - More than 45kg (100 lbs) Own tools/equipment: - Steel-toed safety boots Personal suitability: - Organized - Reliability - Team player - Dependability How to apply: - By email: - By mail: 704 64th St E, Saskatoon, SK S7P 0E4
