Our GFL team is expanding, and we’re looking for a Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis In this role, you’ll play a vital part by focusing on the preparation and distribution of financial statements, forecasting, budgeting and maintaining financial models for the company’s Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) operations.

A “Day in the Life" of a Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information. Conduct financial and profitability analysis as needed and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting while identifying areas for improvement.

  • Prepare and update budgets and forecasts, track capital expenditures, and audit financial models to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Follow internal controls, assist auditors by providing required information, and research and reconcile discrepancies in financial reporting, particularly related to RNG.

  • Collaborate with field staff, senior management, and third parties to ensure seamless financial operations and effective communication.

  • Assist with management-assigned projects and demonstrate self-motivation and innovation to improve processes and deliver results.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required); CPA certification preferred.

  • 4–6 years of progressively responsible accounting experience; experience in waste or renewable energy is a plus.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong analytical abilities for problem-solving.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

  • Effective communicator with the ability to interact across teams and levels of management.
