As a key contributor to our dynamic team, you will bring specialized expertise in Land Development, Civil, or Linear Infrastructure design, complemented by advanced proficiency in Civil 3D for accurate grading, servicing, and construction design. We are looking for candidates with 5-7 years of exceptional experience who live near Owen Sound and can participate in collaborative team meetings, on-site visits, and inspections, with the added benefit of flexible hybrid work options
In This Role, You’ll Leverage
- Extensive Civil 3D expertise in grading, servicing, and civil construction design.
- Knowledge in surveying, stormwater management, hydrology, GIS, and Civil 3D integration.
- Familiarity with planning applications, zoning, and official plans.
- Skills in quantity estimation and the ability to mentor junior designers

Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Design and drafting for municipal infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, water/wastewater/ storm water facilities, and landfills.
- Develop plans for grading, drainage, and servicing for land development, along with lot grading, landfill volume, and septic designs.
- Collaborate with survey technologists, GIS technicians, and engineers, creating contract documents, cost estimates, and construction specifications.
- Conduct fieldwork, including site investigations and construction inspections.
- Graduate of an engineering technology program or equivalent, eligible for OACETT designation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and survey instruments like GPS.
- Previous construction experience is a plus, alongside strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
