As COO, you will collaborate closely with the CEO to drive operational excellence, support scalability, and optimize Virtual Marine’s unique training solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead in a mission-driven, tech-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and execute operational strategies aligned with company vision, ensuring smooth scaling and growth.
  • Build efficient cross-departmental processes, focusing on collaboration with product development, engineering, and customer support teams.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize performance and meet company goals.
  • Develop and manage budgets, cost controls, and operational efficiencies.
  • Lead crisis management and navigate the organization through industry changes.
  • Inspire high-performing teams, championing an inclusive culture.

About You

  • Experience:
    • 10+ years in operations leadership, ideally within technical or simulation sectors; proven experience in scaling companies and managing company growth.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field (MBA or other advanced degree preferred).
  • Skills:
    • Strong data-driven decision-making.
    • Project management and change management capabilities.
    • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma is beneficial.
  • Leadership:
    • A collaborative leader skilled at cross-functional management and adaptable to evolving challenges.
