Job Title : Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) – Banking & Regulatory Domain Location : Hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 day remote) Job Type- Contract Position Overview : We are hiring an experienced Business System Analyst (BSA) for a high-visibility regulatory project with one of the top-tier banks in the GTA . This is a fast-moving contract position where you will play a key role in supporting regulatory compliance, process enhancements, business requirements gathering, and cross-functional coordination. If you have strong experience in banking/financial services, regulatory projects, and end-to-end business/system analysis—this role is for you. Key Responsibilities Gather, document, and analyze business and system requirements for regulatory initiatives. Work closely with technology teams, product owners, compliance, and operations to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations. Translate business needs into detailed BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flows . Support system enhancements, workflow updates, and data-related changes required for regulatory compliance. Conduct gap analysis, impact analysis , and risk assessments across business processes. Participate in JAD sessions , requirement walkthroughs, and stakeholder reviews. Collaborate with QA teams for test planning, test case review, and validating requirements. Track project progress, provide status updates, and escalate issues proactively. Ensure all deliverables adhere to internal policies, governance frameworks, and regulatory standards. Must-Have Skills 10 + years of experience as a Business System Analyst in banking or financial services. Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance projects (AML, Basel, Risk, IFRS, OSFI guidelines, etc.). Excellent documentation skills: BRD, FRD, user stories, process mapping . Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies . Strong understanding of system workflows, data mapping, and integrations . Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams—technology, operations, compliance, and QA. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with SQL for data validation and analysis. Exposure to banking applications (Lending, Cards, Payments, Risk Systems, etc.). Knowledge of process modeling tools (Visio, Lucidchart). Experience in cloud or digital transformation initiatives. Who You Are Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders across business and IT.
