Ecolab’s Global Food Retail division delivers cleaning and sanitation programs, food safety audits and insights into store operations to food retailers globally, partnering with our customers around the world to identify food safety risks and help prevent the spread of foodborne illnesses. We are seeking a Corporate Account Manager for Western Canada to join its industry leading sales team. You’ll be responsible for developing and expanding new and existing national accounts in a selected industry. Through outstanding presentation skills and style, you’ll help our customers be more profitable by saving water, energy and waste.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and expand existing and new accounts in a designated industry segment
  • Design and implement strategic business plans for all accounts
  • Present value-add products and programs, highlighting impact to the customer’s business
  • Ensure customer service delivery emphasizing the delivery of Food Retail Service’s value proposition
  • Build and secure major new business accounts at the corporate level
  • Partner and lead service and sales teams to ensure that revenue and profit targets are met and delivery of Service Standards are consistent

Territory/Location Information:  

  • Territory Coverage: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan. Must live close to Vancouver or Calgary near a major airport. Most customers will be based in Western Canada, but there could also be accounts in Ontario.
  • Targeted accounts are within the Food Retail industry
  • Overnight travel will be based on business requirements – up to 50% travel time required

Minimum Qualifications:           

  • Bachelor’s degree required. This will be verified
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated successful performance in business-to-business commercial sales or equivalent Ecolab experience or industry experience
  • Experience within the restaurant and food service industry preferred
  • Demonstrated history of managing and delivering on project timelines
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Ability to trave to the US immediately upon hire for training and meetings
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven record of high individual sales performance, including experience selling programs and/or service in Ecolab’s core market segments (restaurant, hospitality, food retail, medical, food and beverage processing) and corporate or multi-unit sales experience
  • Previous Food Safety training CP-FS Certificates/ auditing would be an asset.
  • Bilingualism (FR/EN) would be an asset.
  • Strong relationship management capability with outstanding consulting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • P&L knowledge
  • Proven negotiation & presentation skills
  • Self-motivation and drive for results
  • Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills
  • Restaurant industry and product knowledge, good business and financial acumen
  • Demonstrates aptitude for problem solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach)

Ecolab is dedicated to Employment Equity

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

Base salary range is $85,000 to $100,000. This position has base salary and is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus plan as a % of eligible pay, per plan terms.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range is based on full-time 40 hours per week. Ecolab in good faith anticipates it will pay within the posted range. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining the compensation for a potential new employee such as education, training, experience, work location, travel (if required), etc.
