AP/AR Manager
Our client is looking for an AP/AR Manager to join their team in Spruce Grove. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full scope of overseeing the A/P and A/R departments and staff, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly. This role involves managing and supporting the team, while handling both strategic oversight and hands-on tasks when necessary.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:
Oversee and supervise daily activities of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, setting priorities and monitoring performance. Ensure invoices are processed efficiently and accurately, maintaining compliance with internal policies. Collaborate with the corporate finance team to assist in preparing month-end accruals and participate in month-end and year-end closings. Manage escalations related to collections as necessary. Provide training to new employees on expense reporting and financial procedures. Resolve issues and respond to queries related to both payables and receivables. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely payments and invoicing. Establish goals for team members and conduct regular performance reviews. Provide AR reporting to enhance cash management and support forecasting Ensure the team delivers excellent customer service to both internal and external clients. Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures to maintain consistency and accuracy in financial operations. Perform other duties as assigned to support the department and broader organizational goals. Your strengths include:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. Minimum 5+ years of finance-related experience. 3+ years of supervisory experience, managing teams in a finance environment. Previous experience with acquisitions and system implementations is an asset. Strong leadership abilities and willingness to engage in both high-level strategy and hands-on tasks when necessary. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at an intermediate level. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
