About the Role:
CareCorp Senior Services is a reputable organization providing exceptional healthcare and support services to long-term care facilities across British Columbia. We are seeking a compassionate and caring Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in one of our beautiful long-term care facilities in Burnaby, BC.
Facility Locations:
Our facilities are located in Burnaby, BC: Cascade Gardens (3460 Kalyk Ave), Dania Care Home (4175 Norland Ave), Normanna Rest Home (7725 4th Street), and Willingdon Care Center (4435 Grange Street).
Position Details:
This is a casual position allowing you to create your own schedule.
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $32.84 and $33.65 per hour.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs assessments, plans, implements, and provides personal and nursing care to residents.
- Administers oral and subcutaneous medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures.
- Direct supervision of care staff to meet resident's needs.
- Provides personal care to patients, including assisting with bathing, dressing, skin care, bed changing, toilet needs, and exercise routines.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program.
- Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCN&M).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge and background in Dementia care is an asset.
- Desire to continually stay educated in relevant areas of long-term care and nursing is highly valued.
Work Schedule:
This position offers flexibility with various shifts, including morning, evening, day, night, and on-call shifts. Weekends may be required as needed.
Location:
Burnaby, BC. Ability to commute or relocate before starting work is preferred.
