Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will partner with business unit leaders to execute on HR strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement. In addition, the Human Resources Business Partner will participate and own projects that require partnering with the broader HR team to deliver on companywide programs and services.The successful candidate understands business priorities and, interprets and anticipates industry trends and translates them in high impact HR interventions and programs. The HRBP will help business leaders evaluate with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and the overall employee experience.Rise to the challenge. Find your Fuel. Job Summary:Manage all aspects of human resource functions for the client group, which includes but is not limited to compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, organizational design, and organizational development.Collaborate, influence, and provide direct guidance to business leaders, and their teams on all aspects of workforce management and change, including building organizational capability.Reinforce company culture by taking a proactive approach to supporting and promoting the company values and culture.Partner with managers in finding win/win solutions to their issues and provide a safe environment for employees to bring forward issues and enables resolution.Interpret and communicate policies to managers and employees ensuring consistent and efficient application, provide support and coaching.As required, lead or participate in the development and implementation of HR projects including but not limited to HRIS upgrades, implementation of new policies, Talent Management, Annual Compensation Review, and Talent Acquisition.Communicate key people messages, programs and initiatives to Canadian and US offices.Ensure compliance with company HR policies and labor standards by managers and employees.Perform various administrative duties related to human resources (i.e. insurance documents, assistance with the administration of salaries, maintenance of employee files, etc.).Validates the payrolls and provides support to the payroll department.Take a proactive approach to legislative matters and advises management teams of any changes on labor laws reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.Provide coaching, advice and guidance to Supervisors and Managers on employee relations matters including but not limited to attendance management, policy violations, progressive discipline and termination.Lead investigations pertaining to employee relations, ethics and compliance, etc.Strives to understand priorities and challenges and engages/influences the requisite stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions.Other responsibilities as needed.Education & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial relations or any other related discipline.CRHA (strong asset).At least three (3) years of experience as a HRBP or HR generalist.Payroll experience.US human resources exposure (an asset)Demonstrated ability to work in a cross functional team.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining positive and focused on goals.Strong ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with business leaders.Skill in managing multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.Strong problem-solving skills with ability to develop, recommend and implement innovative solutions.Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, focusing on collaboration and ‘win-win’ outcomes.Experience developing and implementing HR related projects.Ability to manage sensitive and confidential issues.Excellent team spirit and initiative.Bilingual – Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
