This individual provides support the Supervisors and Manager in daily operations and fulfills customers’ requirements. Duties include (but are not limited to) fork lift operation, preparation of documentation, compliance with training in Health & Safety, Security, ISO, Quality control. SOP’s must be followed.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDirect employees when requiredOperate Warehouse equipment safelyUnload cargo from truck trailers and various ocean containersCheck and put away received cargo to the designated areasPrint and check shipping orders Pick orders and prepare them for safe transport Work on Special projects and repacking operationsLoad cargo into truck trailers or various ocean containers Work on same day shipping Responsible for quality control; Damaged cargo coming into the warehouse must be signed for as damaged and the damaged materials must not be shipped. Both instances must be reported to the warehouse supervisor immediatelyResponsible for verifying all documentation (way bills, packing lists, etc) Use customer’s warehousing management system and maintain accuracy of inventoryCommunicate with client representatives and maintain a high level of customer satisfactionAdhere to all company policies, procedures, objectives and business ethicsPractice safe warehouse procedures, identify potential hazards, and recommend improvements where necessaryReport any work-related injuries or accidents to Supervisor/ManagerMaintain warehouse in a neat, orderly and efficient fashionVarious other duties as may be requiredQualificationsExperience in general warehousing.Experience with being a Team Leader and leadership skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multitask and manage multiple deadlines with a strong attention to detailAbility to work under pressure in a fast paced environment amidst constant interruptionsAbility to safely operate a fork-lift or other cargo moving machineryAbility to physically handle items of variable weight up to 50lbsRequired to drive forklifts and other machineries Educations/CertificationsHigh School Diploma or greaterForklift CertificateWHMIS trainingTDG Certificate is an assetMachinery/Equipment Computer - Basic Knowledge Printer/scanner/copierPhoneRF Scanner General office equipmentFork-liftsPump-trucks (manual/electric)Safety boots**What We Offer**Health Benefits (Medical, Dental & Vision Coverage)RRSP/DPSP Plan with company matchingPaid Time Off (vacation & sick time)Opportunities for career growth and skill enhancement We thank all applicants for their interest in a career with Nippon Express.
