About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team at Independent Living Nova Scotia Association. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing, as well as maintaining a secure and organized filing system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing: Produce reports, prepare payroll, and perform basic bookkeeping tasks to ensure accurate and timely payment to employees.
  • Filing and Record-Keeping: Maintain a secure and organized filing system, ensuring that all payroll-related documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Communication: Ensure excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Computer and Technology: Proficient in accounting software, word processing software, and spreadsheet applications.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Accurate, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, organized, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
