Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Care Specialist to join our team at Arvan Rehab Group in Aurora, Ontario. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will work closely with our Physiotherapist to implement treatment programs and help residents achieve their goals.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position requiring 24 hours of work per week, with specific dates as follows:

  • Monday to Friday, variable shifts
Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities as a Physiotherapy Care Specialist will include:

  • Assisting with group exercises for residents, under the supervision of our Physiotherapist.
  • Leading one-on-one exercises with assigned residents, as directed by our Physiotherapist.
  • Documenting treatments and residents' progress after each therapy session, as instructed by our Physiotherapist.
  • Assisting residents with walking, sitting, and safe transferring.
  • Maintaining accurate records of resident interactions and reporting any changes in health status to our Physiotherapist or supervisor.
  • Performing various treatments, including applying ice packs, hot packs, ultrasound therapy, and TENS (electrotherapy).
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A degree in Physiotherapy Assistance or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with elderly residents, supervisors, and colleagues.
  • Previous experience working in Long Term Care or Retirement settings would be an asset.
  • A valid police check for the Vulnerable Sector and up-to-date TB test or Chest X-Ray.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for commuting to work.
  • Residency in Tavistock and surrounding area, as we do not consider relocation.
Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this role is between $40,000 and $60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive compensation package, reflecting your value to our organization.
