Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Compunnel Inc. in supporting our Disability Case Managers.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to step into a role that offers an excellent introduction to disability claims and provides exposure to various opportunities within the organization.

Typical Day in Role

In this administrative support position, you will be responsible for providing timely assistance to our Disability Case Managers and building strong service relationships with clients. Key duties include:

  • Completing diary items efficiently and accurately
  • SUPPORTING case managers on various tasks and projects
  • Setting up Short & Long term disability, WSIB and Life claims within tight deadlines
  • Providing exceptional customer service through phone, email, and in-person interactions
  • Handling requests for file copies promptly
  • Scheduling appointments with medical professionals as needed
  • Managing financial records, invoices, and payments effectively
  • Maintaining clear communication with stakeholders through written correspondence
  • Maintaining verbal and written contact with clients, employers, and service providers
  • Performing general office administration duties as required
  • Handling incoming and outgoing mail efficiently, including managing group inboxes
Candidate Requirements/Must-Have Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

  1. A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an administrative capacity
  2. Strong PC skills, with expertise in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
Soft Skills

  • Interpersonal/People Skills: Effective face-to-face interaction is crucial
  • Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is vital
  • Able to work independently as well as within a team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, especially in high-volume work environments
