Senior Sales Director for Dairy Operations

About the Opportunity
We seek an experienced sales professional to lead our dairy operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans that align with our growth objectives.
The successful candidate will work closely with our sales team to provide guidance and support in managing business unit activities. This includes implementing plans to optimize profitability, product mix, pricing strategies, and identifying new business opportunities while meeting growth targets.
We require a self-motivated individual with leadership skills, professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail. You should have experience working in a collaborative environment, thrive on challenge, and be able to prioritize tasks effectively.
Salary: $120,415 - $158,050 (commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training)
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a long-term business strategy aligned with our growth objectives;
- Provide guidance to the sales team to ensure an optimal product portfolio that maximizes growth objectives and identifies new opportunities through innovation;
- Participate in the development of annual operating plans and budgets;
- Ensure customer performance reviews;
- Manage net margin expectations and develop action plans to meet established objectives where necessary;
- Assist in preparing regular business reviews and new product presentations to customers and internal stakeholders;
- Support the sales team in optimizing pricing and promotional plans, new product presentations, forecasting, trade spend management, debit notes, logistics, QA;
- BUILD strong relationships at all levels within the customer organization and within our company, influencing business decisions leading to growth;
- Participate in the S&OP process;
- Maintain market and dairy industry knowledge in terms of products, pricing, discounts, and sales levels;
- Collaborate with various functions within the company;
- Support and maintain our quality standards.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration or commerce; or equivalent education and training desired;
- 10 years in account management or business/product development in the grocery/retail environment;
- 2-3 years of experience in managing a sales account team;
- Experienced sales professional with a proven track record of creating and managing multifaceted annual plans and budgets;
- Business development skills – finding opportunities, achieving sales and margin targets;
- Experience working with cross-functional teams; ideally in the Sales & Operations Planning process;
- Dedicated team player with a proven ability to build internal and external relationships;
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence;
- Strong business acumen: using financial information and operational data to create business plans leading to growth;
- Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal skills;
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills;
- Able to work with tight deadlines and multitask in a dynamic environment;
- Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
- Bilingual is an asset (English/French, written and spoken).
