About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Caregiver to join our team at Spring Living. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents.

Job Summary

This is a permanent, full-time position working 30-37 hours per week. The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs). A Health Care Aide Certificate is required, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Taking patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Serving meal trays and assisting with feeding patients
  • Delivering messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments
  • Maintaining patients' rooms, including making beds and ensuring inventory of supplies
  • Supervising patients' exercise routines and transporting them between care facilities
  • Bathing, dressing, and grooming patients, as needed
  • Answering call signals to determine patients' needs and administering first aid in emergency situations
Certifications and Licenses

A valid Health Care Aide Certificate is required for this position. We also require the ability to distinguish between colours and attention to detail.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This role requires the ability to work under pressure, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs). You must also have good physical capabilities, including sitting, standing, and walking.

Financial Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $60,000-$80,000 per year, based on the collective agreement and 30-37 hours of work per week. This is a permanent, full-time position with benefits as per the collective agreement.
