We are seeking an experienced Senior Retail Operations Manager to join our team at Northern / NorthMart. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving store performance and achieving business objectives.

Job Overview

The Senior Retail Operations Manager will be accountable for developing and executing store-specific action plans, ensuring customer service standards and performance targets are met, and aligning priorities with overall store and region strategy.

You will manage budgets, labor costs, inventory control, product presentation, and merchandising while coaching, motivating, and developing your team to foster customer loyalty and employee engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed action plans for the store to achieve planned profitability, sales, and controllable expense targets.
  • Evaluate and adjust store operations to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor and control labor and overhead costs, ensuring they are within budget.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, receivables, and store controls.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to maximize sales, turns, and return on investment.
  • Promote loss prevention and shrink reduction initiatives.
Requirements
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a high-volume grocery/retail environment.
  • Strong customer service skills and a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Location
