The Home Depot Canada is seeking a highly skilled Store Operations Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving store sales and profitability.

Job Overview:

As a Store Operations Manager, you will be responsible for creating an inviting shopping environment that meets the project needs of our customers. You will work closely with the Store Manager to develop strategies and objectives to drive sales and profitability, providing leadership to Associates to execute these plans successfully.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE: Provide excellent customer service by ensuring that customers are acknowledged, their project needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient.
  2. RACETRACK COACHING: Use the racetrack and coach other Associates and Department Supervisors to use the racetrack to proactively seek and satisfy customers.
  3. SCHEDULING: Ensure sufficient scheduling to meet customer demand in all areas of responsibility.
  4. ASSOCIATE TRAINING: Train Associates to provide quality customer service.
  5. EVENTS: Ensure that store events are appropriately scheduled and communicated.
  6. SPECIAL ORDERS: Ensure all Special Order/Install Customers are satisfied with their products or services.
  7. SPECIALTY AREAS: Ensure specialty areas (e.g., Flooring, Kitchen, Appliance, Millwork & Decor) are adequately staffed to meet both scheduled appointments and immediate customer demand.
  8. SALES GOALS: Set departmental sales goals and monitor them regularly.
  9. HIRING: Recruit, interview applicants, and make recommendations to the store manager about hiring for open positions.
  10. PROMOTIONS: Make recommendations to the store manager about terminations, promotions, demotions, new associates' rate of pay, and associates' performance-based pay increases.
  11. PRODUCTIVITY: Drive productivity on the sales floor (e.g., balancing the number of associates to the customer demand throughout the store).
  12. CAREER PATHS: Communicate clear career paths for associates.
  13. TURNOVER: Take appropriate actions to minimize turnover in all customer service areas.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and location.

This role requires a minimum of 2 years of management experience, excellent customer service skills, good communication skills, computer experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic, sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
