About the Role



We are seeking a highly motivated Sales and Channel Development Manager to join our team at Ansys. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned sales professional with experience in the CAD/PLM software industry to lead our channel development efforts and drive business growth.



Job Description



  • Territory Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement effective territory planning and strategies to maximize sales within the SMB segment, including identifying key customer and market opportunities and developing targeted sales plans.

  • Channel Partner Management: Manage and motivate a team of inside sales reps and channel partner reps to achieve sales targets and deliver results. Provide assessments of channel sales reps and sales support staff productivity and suggest improvements.

  • Sales Enablement: Collaborate with functional managers across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of the sales team and marshal required resources to deliver sales goals and build capabilities.

  • Key Account and Market Opportunities: Develop key account and market opportunities and sell to key accounts to maximize their potential value to Ansys.



Requirements and Qualifications





  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience: 5-10+ years successful sales, key accounts, and indirect channel account management experience in the Simulation/CAE or CAD/PLM software industry.

  • Skills: Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, human relations, presentation, and organization skills. Moderate to high level understanding of scientific or technical software products/services, pricing/licensing practices, and consultative selling skills.

  • Travel: up to 50%

  • Preferred Qualifications: Canadian citizen to deal with Government and preferably based in Ontario or Quebec. Fluent in English and French - local language of the territory preferred.



Compensation and Benefits



The estimated salary for this role is $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
