Software Engineering Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Professional to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop complex distributed cloud-based micro-service systems.
- Collaborate with development teams to create robust, scalable, and efficient software solutions.
- Work closely with delivery and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new features.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and their potential to improve our banking, transaction processing, and administration platforms.
- Contribute to the development of strategic technical and capability roadmaps, identifying new shared capabilities and business opportunities.
- Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
- 5+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on cloud computing, Spring Boot, REST API, and micro-service development.
- Practical experience with various technologies and platforms, including enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Knowledge of domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, high availability, and other architecture patterns and principles.
- Experience working with source code management systems (GIT) and delivering code using TDD, CI/CD, code analysis, and coverage tools.
- Bachelor or master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field.
