Mental Health Therapist

EHN Canada, the nation's largest private network of industry-leading mental health, trauma, and addiction treatment facilities, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team.
Job DescriptionWe are committed to providing quality treatment for Canadians with over 100 years of collective experience. Our inpatient, outpatient, and online programs offer compassionate care across the country.
Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive assessments of clients with mental health and addictions related issues and provide treatment management, guidance, and prescribe medications in accordance with statutory and regulatory standards.
- Administer medications in accordance with organizational and pharmaceutical policies and procedures.
- Support the Nursing Team and Physician as directed.
- Assist clients in recovery through practical and therapeutic means, including supporting recovery strategies and listening empathetically.
- Work all shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current LPN license in good standing.
- Trauma-informed training or experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of mental health and addictions and the 12 steps is an asset.
- A passion for improving the life chances of clients through support grounded in sound treatment practices.
- The ability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to be flexible, adaptable, and nimble.
- Commitment to professional development and growth.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
