About the OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at the LMC Barrie clinic. As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with our team of endocrinologists to provide medical care in the areas of endocrinology and diabetes. You will also have the opportunity to participate in clinical research studies and contribute to the development of our PA program.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive clinical assessments of patients, including obtaining history, performing physical assessments, and reviewing diagnostic testing.
- Manage and counsel patients on diabetes management and advanced skills.
- Consult with supervising physicians as necessary and perform all patient care activities as per medical directives.
- Act as Sub-Investigator and coordinator for research studies, conducting study patient physicals, visits, and performing queries.
- An established team of 8 Physicians Assistants, with full training and support from endocrinologists and our PA Program Lead.

- Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with no shift work, no nights, no weekends, and paid days off for holidays.
- University-based accredited Physician Assistant training program (Bachelor or Master level).
- Member in good standing of the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants (CAPA).
- Experience practicing as a Physician Assistant is considered an asset, but we welcome new grads to apply pending PACC Exam results in 2024.
