Job Purpose

The Digital Project Lead will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, including multiple projects simultaneously. This role may also involve performing duties as a Scrum Master, depending on the project requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure the successful delivery of assigned projects, adhering to the company's processes and standards
  • Facilitate project planning, create detailed project plans, manage timelines, and deliverables according to the plans
  • Help identify, monitor, and resolve project risks, issues, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies
  • Effectively communicate and report on project progress at various levels
  • Owning the change control process, ensuring it follows the required procedures, approvals are received, and a change log is maintained
  • Chair project meetings with key executives, project team members, and external parties if applicable, producing the necessary meeting materials
  • Facilitate scrum activities such as stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Develop strong relationships with team members, sponsors, key executives, and external vendors
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure the project repository is effectively managed
  • Recommend and implement new processes to improve quality and efficiency in projects

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Post-Secondary degree, preferably in an IT-related field
  • Relevant Project Management Certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, PSM, etc.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager using the Waterfall methodology/best practices and minimum 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • Proven experience running medium to large-size projects or large work packages, preferably information technology projects within the financial services industry
  • Solid experience with MS Project and Atlassian tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of both the waterfall and agile methodology and associated best practices
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PPT, Word, Visio, Project, SharePoint/Teams) and tools like JIRA and Confluence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Advanced ability to identify issues and risks and generate solutions
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and discussions at all levels and drive a successful outcome

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on experience
