Galiano Garage Groceries & Liquor Agency seeks a skilled Merchandise Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong understanding of market trends and the ability to effectively manage stock levels.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can provide excellent customer service while maintaining a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of selecting and purchasing merchandise for resale.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Study market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials to stay up-to-date on industry trends.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels by reviewing inventory regularly and adjusting orders as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Analyze sales data to determine product demand and adjust purchasing decisions accordingly.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, taking into account factors such as quality, price, and brand reputation.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail or procurement environment.

Salary and Benefits
