Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Big Data Analytics Software Developer to join our team at Amazon. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design and develop software products that impact various areas of our business.

About Amazon

Amazon is a leader in the online advertising industry, with a unique combination of e-commerce data, service-oriented architecture, and startup culture. Our team is applying the latest big data technologies to change the way marketers purchase, track, measure, and optimize their advertising spend.

We handle terabytes of data (over 10B new events per day) and operate clusters that push scalability limits of existing technologies. Your work will involve designing and developing software products that impact many areas of our business, including customer trust and growth.

Your Responsibilities

This role will involve defining requirements, creating software designs, implementing code, providing thorough unit and integration testing, and supporting products while deployed and used by stakeholders. You will also be responsible for designing or architecting new and existing systems, as well as experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Some key responsibilities include:
  • Designing and developing software products that impact various areas of our business.
  • Defining requirements and creating software designs.
  • Implementing code and providing thorough unit and integration testing.
  • Supporting products while deployed and used by stakeholders.
  • Designing or architecting new and existing systems.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience, 2+ years of design or architecture experience, and experience programming with at least one software programming language. Additionally, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
