Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Digital Medical Sonographer to join their Radiology Ultrasound team at Vancouver General Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, peripheral vascular, and small parts ultrasound examinations, adhering to patient safety protocols.
- Complete requisitions, enter relevant data into the diagnostic imaging information system, and prepare patients for procedures.
- Conduct examinations using ultrasound and Doppler techniques, and participate in committees and research projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a recognized Medical Diagnostic Sonography program and certified with Sonography Canada or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Demonstrated knowledge of sonography procedures, aseptic techniques, and safe work procedures with diagnostic sonographic and medical imaging equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare staff, and operate related equipment.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
