Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team at ACURA TRUCK AND TRAILER REPAIR LTD. as a Truck and Trailer Maintenance Assistant. In this role, you will provide critical support to our maintenance team, ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers, including moving equipment and materials as needed.
  • Support surveying activities by holding stakes and signaling safety procedures to other workers and the public.
  • Collaborate with tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
  • Clean machines and work areas to maintain a safe and organized environment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding role that requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in a related field is an asset.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and reliability are essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
