About Our Role

We are seeking a skilled Corporate Communications Specialist to join our team at Miller Paving Limited, a subsidiary of Colas Canada. This is an exciting opportunity for a communications professional to make a lasting impact in the construction and maintenance of transportation infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our communications department, you will develop high-quality communication materials, including web copy, social media content, newsletters, presentations, and reports. You will also assist in coordinating and attending corporate events and initiatives while managing project timelines and tasks. Additionally, you will work closely with internal clients to support their communications needs and collaborate with external vendors to ensure project success.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in communications and/or business
  • 1-2 years of experience in corporate communications
  • Superb communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience and working knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and applications (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Sprout Social)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment, as well as autonomously when required
  • Graphic Design experience would be considered an asset (working knowledge of Canva, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop)
