**Job Title:** AML Officer

**Job Type:** Full-time

**Location:** Flexible (Remote work options available)

**Salary:** $80,000 - $110,000 per year (dependent on experience)

About the Role

The AML/ATF department within Compliance is responsible for managing the Bank's AML/ATF risk through effective controls. As an AML Officer, you'll play a key role in conducting monitoring and testing routines, QA reviews, assessing unusual transactions, reviewing Suspicious Transactions Reports (STRs), and providing support to business units.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct monitoring and testing routines of existing Business Unit internal controls and QA reviews on AML team adjudications and investigations
  • Consolidate data across various sources to analyze results and offer solutions to streamline future reporting
  • Identify major AML/ATF risk trends and provide suggestions for focused training
  • Provide support in implementing, overseeing, and managing an effective AML/ATF program
  • Assist in planning and coordinating AML-related projects
  • Proactively identify best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Post-secondary education in business or finance with 3-5 years of experience in AML Compliance at a regulated financial institution in Canada
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements for AML/ATF and sanction risk, industry best practices, and organizational goals for AML/ATF typologies
  • Advanced Excel skills, including macro creation, v-lookups, and programming
  • Ability to organize and compile data to produce metric reports
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize assignments and multi-task within restricted time constraints
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
