GameStop Store Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Store Manager to lead our team at GameStop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management and be able to drive sales growth while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Staff and Assign Duties

    The Store Manager will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, and supervising staff. They will also assign duties and provide guidance to ensure that all team members are working efficiently and effectively.

  • Determine Merchandise and Services to be Sold

    The Store Manager will analyze sales data and customer feedback to determine which merchandise and services to stock and promote. They will also work with the buying team to select the best products for our stores.

  • Plan, Organize, Direct, Control and Evaluate Daily Operations

    The Store Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing daily store operations. They will ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard, and that the store is running efficiently and effectively.

Work Setting

The Store Manager will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a focus on driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer service. They will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Security and Safety

The Store Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all store employees are aware of and comply with our security and safety procedures. They will also be responsible for conducting regular security and safety audits to ensure that the store is secure and safe for customers and employees.

Requirements

  • Education

    The Store Manager should have a high school diploma or equivalent. A degree in business or a related field is an asset.

  • Experience

    The Store Manager should have at least 3 years of experience in retail management. They should have a strong background in sales, customer service, and team management.
