Job Title: Manager, System Integrity

FortisBC is seeking a strategic thinker to lead and oversee the System Integrity team, developing, implementing, and improving asset integrity management activities to ensure alignment with our organization's goals and industry regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify areas of opportunity in current asset integrity management activities and develop solutions for improvement.
  • Maintain fiscal responsibility by managing the System Integrity Operations and Maintenance budgets within provided guidelines and targets.
  • Develop short- and long-term plans to align with corporate strategic objectives, acknowledging the changing energy environment for all System Integrity programs.
  • Mentor team members to assess short- and long-term resources and ongoing technical capabilities of the department to meet requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university, plus a minimum of eight to 12 years of recent and related experience within a regulated utility environment.
  • Registered with or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
  • An equivalent combination of education, related training, and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a culture change and manage teams through a forward-thinking approach.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to adapt business plans and risk tolerance into departmental goals and plans.
