The Role


As a Central Canada Regional Operations Manager, you will lead a team of professionals responsible for delivering In-Service Support contracts (ISS) for training delivery and simulator maintenance/updates. This role is part of the Training Centers Operation (TCO) team in the Canada Defence and Security unit.


Your key responsibilities will include:



  • Leading a team of 115+ dedicated professionals across multiple sites in central Canada.
  • Ensuring the delivery of aircrew and aircraft technicians training, as well as simulator maintenance, meets or exceeds contractual requirements.
  • Managing governance activities with executive management, identifying and resolving operational problems, and minimizing delays.
  • Collaborating with customers and Training squadrons staff to ensure successful project execution.
  • Liaising with internal departments to solve issues, improve solutions, and recommend best practices.
  • Contributing to organizational strategies, policies, and practices.
  • Acting as the principal liaison with government Program Office/Quality Assurance Representatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with company Information Systems and data protection security policies and procedures.

Requirements


To succeed in this role, you will require:



  • A minimum of 10 years of leadership experience with multiple subordinates and at least 4 years of Project Management responsibility.
  • Excellent business, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and tackle a broad scope of customer requirements.
  • Management experience dealing with organizational, logistics, technical, and training issues.
  • Experience managing teams in a military or mission-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada as a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or with a valid Work Permit.
  • Capability of obtaining and maintaining Controlled Goods Clearance and a Level II NATO Secret security clearance.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
