Records Information Manager

The shíshálh Nation is seeking a highly skilled Records Technician to support the Rights and Title Department in maintaining multiple databases and filing duties.
This 1-year position offers the possibility of extension or becoming permanent.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze documents produced by the department daily for appropriate descriptive metadata and file in electronic and physical recordkeeping systems.
- Monitor correspondence and intake new files for assignment to appropriate staff members.
- Perform records search queries for staff and management upon request.
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably as a Records Clerk or equivalent.
- Post-secondary training in records management, office administration, information technology, or Indigenous information systems is considered an asset.
- Ability to maintain and work with confidential and sensitive information.
- Highly skilled with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to implement alphanumeric file numbering and naming conventions with speed and accuracy.
- Familiarity with electronic records management systems and databases is considered an asset.
- Experience working with Indigenous people, organizations, and communities is considered an asset.
The estimated salary for this position is $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
