Marketing Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Specialist to join our team at Ingonish Harbour Resort Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to promote our brand and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform a range of administrative tasks to support the marketing team, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Staff Recruitment and Management: Recruit, hire, and manage staff to ensure the marketing team is adequately resourced to meet business objectives.
  • Client Advisory: Advise clients on advertising and sales promotion strategies to help them achieve their business goals.
  • Marketing Materials: Assist in the preparation of marketing materials, including brochures, reports, and newsletters.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research studies to identify trends and opportunities for business growth.
  • Surveys and Questionnaires: Design and conduct surveys and questionnaires to gather data on customer preferences and behavior.
  • Portfolio Development: Develop a portfolio of marketing materials to showcase the team's work and achievements.
  • Customer Service: Evaluate customer service and store environments to ensure they meet business standards.
  • Online Marketing: Conduct online marketing, e-commerce, and website promotions to drive business growth.
  • Funding Applications: Prepare funding applications to secure resources for marketing initiatives.
  • Business Planning: Develop and implement business plans to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Digital Database Management: Maintain and manage digital databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Client Support: Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise office and volunteer staff to ensure they are adequately trained and resourced to meet business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a marketing role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
