East Side is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Retail Store Manager to lead our retail store team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that all sales goals are met, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

About the Role

This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months of experience in a retail management role and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities to sales staff to ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Authorize Payments by Cheque: Process payments and handle financial transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Order Merchandise: Source and purchase new stock to meet customer demands and maintain inventory levels.
  • Authorize Return of Merchandise: Handle returns and exchanges efficiently and fairly.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Plan and coordinate employee shifts to ensure adequate staffing during peak periods.
  • Sell Merchandise: Demonstrate product knowledge and provide exceptional customer service to drive sales.
  • Prepare Reports on Sales Volumes, Merchandising, and Personnel Matters: Analyze sales data and identify areas for improvement to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve Issues That May Arise, Including Customer Requests, Complaints, and Supply Shortages: Think critically and develop effective solutions to resolve conflicts and supply chain disruptions.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Ensure accurate stock levels and optimize storage space to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Workers: Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among employees.
