The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in achieving business and financial success while leaving a positive impact on society. This position oversees all activities within the production and maintenance departments of the facility.

Key responsibilities of the Operations Manager include:

  • Optimizing operational efficiencies to support production, warehouse, and shipping of products.
  • Identifying and coordinating operational improvements to deliver the site annual operating plan (AOP).
  • Tracking operational output measures and anticipating and correcting trends that compromise achievement of financial targets.
  • Developing a team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Delivering effective change leadership to drive business changes while minimizing people impact.
  • Communicating and collaborating cross-functionally to assist teams in solving operational issues.
  • Overseeing the preventive maintenance program on all equipment.
  • Flexing production plans on a shift-by-shift basis to prevent service issues and operational inefficiencies.
  • Optimizing ingredient and packaging material usage to minimize scrap loss.
  • Maintaining shop equipment in a safe environment.
  • Building people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly and salaried personnel.
  • Coaching teams to demonstrate continuous improvement in profitability margins, efficiencies, and cost savings initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience in operations management, supply chain management, or a related field.
