Job Description for Plumbing Apprentice

D&T Plumbing is seeking a skilled Plumbing Apprentice to join our team. As a key member of our plumbing team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and repair plumbing fixtures and systems, including pipes, fittings, and appliances.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
  • Estimate costs and materials.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the plumbing trade.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 30 to 44 hours of work per week.
