Senior Accounting Professional

MJS Tax Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in bookkeeping and accounting.
- Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Caseware/Caseview. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The working conditions will be fast-paced, with tight deadlines and a high level of accuracy required.
