The Department of Medicine at William Osler Health System is seeking a full-time Associate Infectious Disease Clinician to join our team.

Job Overview

The successful candidate should be highly motivated, flexible, and able to work collaboratively with Allied Health, other infectious disease/medical microbiology/respirology and thoracic surgery colleagues. The clinician must have evidence of strong clinical training and performance in the investigation and management of infectious diseases, and emerging anti-mycobacterial therapies.

About the Program

The Infectious Diseases Division at WOHS consists of five ID physicians and one Medical Microbiologist across three campuses. The program is supported by the Microbiology Laboratory, the Infection Prevention & Control Department, a Clinical Epidemiologist, and an Antimicrobial Stewardship team. Our ID Division anticipates continued expansion with the Peel Memorial Campus.

Compensation and Benefits

Remuneration is fee-for-service, and we offer competitive salaries. The estimated salary for this position is $250,000-$300,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. The successful applicant will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

Requirements

Candidates should demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills in English and possess the essential qualities of a specialist consultant including approachability, availability, and collegiality. Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population. The successful applicant must have a certificate of registration to practise from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) and be a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada with an FRCP(C) Certificate of Competency in Infectious Disease in addition to being eligible for credentialing at the William Osler Health System.
