Senior Manager, Global Finance Regulatory Risk Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our Global Finance, Regulatory Risk Governance group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall success of the team, executing specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives in support of the team's mandate and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Global Finance, Regulatory Risk Governance strategy, ensuring alignment with the Bank's overall objectives.
- Lead the review and improvement of internal controls for Global Finance operations across Canada, IB, GWM, and GBM, ensuring compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate the current state of internal controls and operational performance of Global Finance.
- Provide guidance, advice, and counsel to GF business processes to ensure adherence to and effectiveness of business controls, meeting obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, and conduct risk.
- Collaborate with Finance, Audit, Operational Risk, and Compliance Risk teams to implement and optimize the model, addressing audit findings, regulatory, compliance, and policy reviews.
- Design and maintain specific training to ensure ongoing compliance with changing regulatory requirements, disseminating enterprise-wide policies to Global Finance teams.
- Understand and apply the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas, ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls.
- 8+ years of experience in Finance, Audit, or Risk environments.
- Professional Accounting designation (CPA) is preferred.
- Solid understanding of financial and management reporting principles, knowledgeable of the Bank's products, operations, and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of risks (inherent and residual) impacting banking and finance, internal controls, and evaluation.
- Strong analytical, data visualization, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Solid communication skills (verbal and written), with ability to interact with various Finance units at different management levels.
